Katie Gannon’s Exclusive Interview

Where are you from, and how would you describe your life growing up?

I’m from Albany, NY. Growing up, I was very shy and the odd one out. I didn’t talk much but instead would draw/paint and work on my own goals. When I was 18 years old I started my career in fitness and entered my first bodybuilding show where I got my pro card. After this accomplishment, I began to become more self confident and came out of my shell.

How did you find your way in front of a camera, modeling?

I attended workshops on modeling and runway walking. I also had the opportunity to work with numerous photographers through TFP collaborations where I learned from each photographer and learned what styles and poses suit me the best.

What do you like best about being a model?

I’m an extremely artistic person and I always have creative ideas, so I greatly enjoy bringing these ideas into fruition and seeing the beauty I can create.

Besides modeling what is the most important thing in your life?  Do you have any unusual talents?

I am a very physical person. I weight lift and do cardiovascular exercise daily. I’m also a professional wrestler and am learning MMA and Brazilian Jiu-jutsu. I want to show girls you can be pretty and feminine while being strong.

We all need support in life.  Where do you get your support?  What or who inspires you?

My father has always been my inspiration from a young age. I also want to be a role model for young girls.

What do you think is the most challenging thing about modeling and what advice would you give to new models?

The most challenging thing is differentiating between someone who is legitimate and can help advance your career and someone who is lying and has bad intentions. This business is full of scams and evil people so you really need to keep true to your beliefs, see the red flags, and listen to your instincts. I highly recommend having someone on the outside of the business to watch out for you and to give input.

What is your favorite way to relax?  What do you do for fun?

I love massages! Since I wrestle and workout daily I get extremely sore and need the recovery that massages provide. I also enjoy scenic car rides and 44oz Diet Mountain Dews from the gas station!

You look amazing.  What do you recommend for those wanting to keep in shape?

Firstly thank you! I recommend putting fitness into your daily routine. Just a little goes a long way. Weight lifting is better for fat burning and muscle growth over extended bouts of cardio, so don’t be a treadmill bunny and wear yourself out! Also frequent small meals keep the metabolism high.

What would you consider your strongest attribute?  What do guys compliment you most on?

My strongest attribute is just that- my strength! I know how to glam up one moment and I can get down and dirty and play football with the guys the next.

Anything about your heritage, ethnicity, or nationality that you feel people would like to know?

I am Polish and Irish which I’m very proud of. That’s where I get my strength and my fighting spirit! Must be all of the perogies!

Please share something about yourself that may surprise others.  What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done?

I am a recovered anorexic. I struggled with an eating disorder for almost 10 years and almost died from it; my bones turned brittle and my body was shutting down. However I recovered and even got into wrestling! Now I’m healthy and my bones and muscles are stronger than ever. I thank God for doing that for me.

What are your dreams and goals and ambitions?

My dream is to influence others and to be someone others look up to. I want to be happy and successful.

If you were in a magical machine that could transport you to any place and time imaginable, where would you love to be?  Why?

I’d probably go back to my childhood in NY. These were the best times of my life. No worries, climbing trees, going to the park, trick or treating, eating whatever I want.

Are you a naughty girl, or a nice girl 😉 ?

I’m a nice girl unless you tick me off I’ll drop kick you into next week.

What’s one thing about yourself that everyone should know?

I’m the last of a dying breed.

What does being published on cineleton.com mean to you?

It shows me how far I’ve come and is leading me to the future I dream of!
